To many people at the moment, the world seems fairly dark, or at least unstable. With conflict in different places, division in society, concerns about the natural world, worries about misinformation and who can be trusted, and rising costs on top of it all, it can seem a bit overwhelming. For some of us, it is easy to feel very alone.
That’s one reason why we are so excited to be celebrating Christmas at St Peter’s of the Rock this year. One of the wonderful things about the Christmas story is that it tells of a time when the Creator of the universe came close. He didn’t stay at a distance. In fact, incredibly, in the person of Jesus he became one of us. He entered into the messiness of the world, so that we would know we are not left alone in the world.
We are delighted to share and celebrate that wonder this Christmas, and we’d love to have you with us. Whoever you are, whether you have been to church 100 times or never, whether you think you would fit in or not, you are very welcome!
