The Magic of Christmas Carols

Christmas carols are one of the highlights of this time of year. There is something wonderful about singing together of the beauty and wonder of Christmas. Whether it is the rousing call of O Come All Ye Faithful or the sweet awe of Silent Night, it is a special thing. It is something we don’t generally do all year round, so we want to take the chance while the season is here!

I remember late one Christmas Eve at a church in Sydney (where I lived at the time), we had just finished a beautiful late night carol service. A young man walked (just) in the door, perhaps a little too merry! He was so keen to come and sing some carols, and was so disappointed he missed the chance.

We have a great chance to sing carols this Sunday morning at our carol service – don’t miss the chance! And as well as carols, we will reflect on the reason that what we sing about in these carols is such good news. It is no coincidence that such enduring and wonderful music is paired with words of universal significance – significance for every single one of us.

We would love you to join us this Sunday (17th Dec) at 9:30am – don’t miss the chance!
God bless
Chris
