Christmas at St Peter’s of the Rock is here – and it is a time of hope to share and wonder to experience!

This Christmas we would love to have you with us as we remember the coming of Jesus, which was anticipated centuries before by the prophet Isaiah.
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” (Isaiah 9:2)
These words speak of the area in the north of ancient Israel, where armies oppressed the people. But it was from this area that a great light was to come – a light that came at the first Christmas and has continued to shine in our world ever since.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
These marvellous words have echoed through the centuries. Isaiah gave them to us and then Jesus came to fulfil them. And he continues to give hope for their ultimate fulfilment – a hope we celebrate at Christmas.
We’d love to have you join us as we celebrate Christmas this year! For all the service info, you can go to our Christmas services page here.
